Located near the headwaters of the Colorado River and Rocky Mountain National Park, the Upper Colorado River is ideal if you are seeking beautiful canyon scenery and non-intimidating whitewater.
This is a great overnight adventure for first-timers and families with younger children (minimum age 6). The trip is rated Class II with a Class III rapid at some water levels. We put in at the Pumphouse launching site and set up camp along the river's banks during the late afternoon. Guides usually lead short side hikes before dinner. Lunch and dinner are provided on the first day of your adventure. On the final day, breakfast and lunch are served.
